Leanne Currey-Randall

I am a fish ecologist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, leading research focused on community dynamics and spatial ecology of fishes (teleosts and elasmobranchs), using a variety of methods (e.g. baited cameras/BRUVS, acoustic telemetry) to understand the drivers of diversity, abundance, community structure and movement patterns. My recent projects include the Qld Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) Acoustic Telemetry Array project tracking priority species, identifying drivers for long-distances movement patterns, describing and monitoring fish communities of shallow reefs and deep shoals across northern Australia, and understanding how industry activities, marine protected areas and environmental conditions affect fishes through time.
